What all do I need to rent?
In order to rent the renter must provide 1. Valid driver’s license 2. Valid Credit Card on file. 3. Current address 4. Permanent address. 5. Phone number.

What‘s the deal with insurance?
The insurance is included and covers the state statutory limits 20/40/15. 20K bodily injury per person per accident. 40K total bodily injury per accident. 15K property damage per accident.

I’ve never ridden a moped before is that a problem?
No. MopedU will have a hands on training course for new renters upon pick up. Learning to ride takes just a few minutes.

Do I need a helmet to drive a moped?
No. According to state laws helmets are not required to drive a moped. Helmets are available through MopedU for purchase, if wanted. MopedU strongly encourages the use of a helmet while riding.

Do I need a special license to drive a moped?
No. A valid driver’s license is all you need to operate a moped. Our mopeds meet max speed certifications which does not qualify them a motorcycle.

What if my rented moped is damaged and it‘s not my fault?
If a moped is vandalized or stolen the charges will be assessed to the renter. If a police report is presented retail value will not be assessed. Renters with a premium service package are not held responsible.

What is Included in a MopedU Rental?
Each rental will include a 49cc moped that is taxed, titled, licensed, insured, university parking pass, hazard flag and basic maintenance.

Is there a deposit?
No. We only ask that a credit card is kept on file.
