Bryan Ilg,  Josh Bass and Tommy Le

The idea of MopedU came to Bryan and Josh in the middle of 2010 after seeing the need at the University of Iowa. By March 2011 rental mopeds were on the street. It was apparent that students were tired of the old ways of getting around campus (walking, taxis, buses etc.) because there weren’t enough mopeds to go around. We needed more help to provide great service and brought on Tommy Le. Quickly the rental fleet doubled and then people wanted to get their personal mopeds fixed or wanted to buy their own. This is why MopedU has grown from simply a rental company in Iowa City, IA with 30 mopeds, to having 2 full service dealerships with 8 full time employees in just 3 years. MopedU strives to be the most affordable, convenient and best option for college students and the community to use for all their moped needs. Kody Wisner – General Manager

Kody is the newest member of the MopedU team and we are excited to have him on board. Kody has over 10 years of experience in the powersports industry most recently with J&P Cycles in Anamosa, IA. Kody brings a level of excellence and professionalism that you’ve come to expect from MopedU. We expect great things from Kody and are looking forward to see how helps MopedU grow to be the best moped dealership around. Stop in to see him when we open up this year. Allen “Fish” Fisher – Service Manager

Fish is new to MopedU Iowa City. He’s been working on motorcycles and automobiles for over 10 years. He definitely likes the new challenge of mopeds. He’s worked locally from Marengo to Anamosa mainly learning the tricks of the trade from our very own Kody Wisner. He enjoys being outdoors especially on 2 wheels. He has a giant soft spot for dogs and Mountain Dew and we’re very happy to have him at MopedU.
